Theatretech were appointed following a design competition by Westminster Under School, the preparatory part of Westminster School. 

​

The project was to convert an existing Hall into a much improved general facility which retained a flat floor for sport, assemblies, events etc., but whose theatrical capabilities would be greatly enhanced, with the added intention of allowing small children access to get their hands on and operate theatre equipment.

 

We installed a technical gallery all around the space which immediately created that accessibility, and installed retractable bench seating, this being suitably comfortable for adults, parents etc., but accommodated many more small children.

The Hall is equipped to a high standard, and allows even children of a preparatory school age ambitions beyond what is normally available.
